We all have that someone who we feel that she’s our sister
from another mother. For me, she was my good friend Aminah. Our friendship
started way back in college, we were freshmen and classmates under AB Mass
Communication course at Ateneo De Davao University. I noticed her during the
school’s orientation. Everything and everyone was new to me and I noticed her
sitting two persons away from me. She was so pretty, fair and flawless skin,
gorgeous hair, slim figure and to top that she was holding the latest phone
from Nokia (which is super expensive at that time). OH EMM GEEE I am so
intimidated! I remember crying after the orientation and calling my dad saying
I’m going back to our town because I don’t fit in. I’m so intimidated by
everyone I see. What was I thinking back then?? Well, to make the story short,
I became friends with Aminah, in fact she was my closest friend during college
days. We then, became roommates and gotten closer since we see each other
everyday. We talked and shared life experiences and discuss every heartache
that crossed our path even during the time when I changed my course. I remember
doing her makeup every time she goes on a ladies night with her classmates at
Law School.
A few weeks ago, she visited me here in my hometown and did
a lot of catching up. She then announced to me her engagement. Another OH EMM
GEEE moment for me and she caused it! I couldn’t be happier for her, knowing
that she’s bound to marry a very good man and the love of her life. Without
wasting time, we started planning her special day and yes, we did her trial
makeup.
PS: I got so carried away, it looks like a glam makeup
rather than a bridal one. We will be doing another trial soon. For now, hope
you like her transformation.
