My BASICS

Hi! JJ here! Just to give you the basics, I am an airbrush makeup artist based in General Santo City. It’s basically my fulltime job aside from helping in our family business. I studied makeup in HD Academy and I took the Bridal and High Fashion Makeup course, Pro Airbrush Makeup course and Hairstyling.

I decided to create this beauty blog for me to be able to share to you my work of art and share to you my knowledge and tips in applying your own makeup.

To kick off my blog, I would like to share to you the products that I can’t live without (literally). These products are part of my daily routine for years and I never get tired of it.

Olay Total Effect Day cream in Touch of Foundation.

This keeps my face moisturized all day, and the touch of foundation helps my skin look flawlessly natural without the heavy pigment of other foundations and I love its scent.

Etude House Dear Darling Tint

I can live without foundation and face powder or any makeup but not and never without a blush. I love this product so much because of its texture when you apply it on your face. It’s very easy to blend and it gives a very subtle blush on your cheeks for that natural look. It can also be used as a lip tint.

Maybelline The Rocket™ Volum’ Express

If you’re looking for affordable mascara that gives your lashes volume and length at the same time, this is the perfect product for you. What I love about this mascara is, its applicator is made of plastic bristles. It helps you apply mascara to every lash and the hard to reach areas.

Maybelline Clear Smooth All in One

This product helps my skin look matte and fresh all day. It’s a cake powder, so you can use a dry or wet sponge in applying it. The shades are also patterned for Filipina skintone. I use the shade 02 Nude Beige. This product is very affordable it only costs Php 169.

OR

MAC Studio Fix Powder

I use the shade NC25 of this product. What I love about it is its texture. It gives me light to medium coverage. This product lasts for about 3 – 6 months depending on the usage. It is also a bit expensive for a powder that’s why I don’t recommend it for beginners.

Petroleum Jelly

For my lips, I just use petroleum jelly to keep if soft. Any brand will do. It’s very cheap and it’s available in any drugstore.

These are my personal basics, what's yours? Im curious and I'd like to know. Share it by commenting below.. =)  Stay pretty!
